Today we will discuss about Parasnath. Parasnath is a mountain top in the Parasnath Range. It is situated towards the eastern finish of the Chota Nagpur Plateau in the Giridih district locale of the Indian province of Jharkhand, India. The slope is named after Lord Parshvanatha, the 23rd Tirthankara


 Why Parasnath is Famous. 

  • Parashnath is mainly famous for the Jains Pilgrim which called Sammad Shikhar also. The Parasnath Hills are a scope of slopes situated in the Giridih district of Jharkhand state. The most elevated top is 1350 m. It is one of the main journey community for Jains. They call it Sammed Shikhar. The slope is named Parasnath after the 23rd Tirthankara. This is one of the most blessed and adored destinations for the Jain people group. They call it Sammed Sikhar. It is a significant journey site. Out of 24 Tirthankaras of Jains, 20 got nirvana on Parshnath Hills.On the mountain, there are the Shikharji Jain sanctuaries, a significant tirthakshetra or Jain journey site. For each Tirthankara there is a sanctum (gumti or Tonk) on the hill.The Jaina sanctuary is accepted to be developed by Magadha King Bimbisara. Cunningham noted stone designs in the town, which he depicts as a leftover of a Buddhist stupa datable to second Century BCE.It is also the biggest center of Santhal-tribal faith. Santal tribals consider this hill to be the abode of their adorable god 'Marang Buru'.the Santhal tribals celebrate a one-day hunting festival on Baisakh Purnima.

  • By Train 🚂🚋🚃🚋🚃🚋🚃 - Nearby Railway Station is Parasnath which is approx 25 Km far from the ParasnatTemple/Hill.Parasnath Railway Station is well connected with all major city. Dhnabad is also nearby Railway Station. 


  • By Air ✈️️- Nearby and newly inaugurated international Airport is Deoghar which is 115 km far from Parasnath. Ranchi Airport is also nearby Parasnath. The distance between Ranchi and Parasnath is 165 km.
